Where do we get all the food?
Where do we get all of the food in the pantry?
Food donations must be non-perishable, unopened, and unexpired. Baby products and toiletries are needed as well. Donations can be dropped off at the church at the red bin by the stairs next to the cafeteria on the 2nd floor.
The food pantry is currently in need of are the following:
Canned meats - chicken, beef, ham, salmon
Canned fruit - peaches, pears, mixed fruit
Rice and Pasta
Cooking oil, flour, sugar
Snack foods (non-perishable)
Baby food and baby products
Tea and powdered milk
Toilet paper and paper towels
Toothpaste and toothbrushes
Note: Please check the expiration date of the items you wish to donate. Also, since we have no refrigeration available to us, we ask that you donate non-perishable food only.
Food drives are a great opportunity for a short-term commitment and a great serving opportunity for small groups. If you’re planning on having a food drive, please contact us first, so we can assist you with brochure materials, as well as give you a list of requested items. Contact us under 703/853-4920
or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We also accept monetary donations from the church body to purchase food for the pantry.
