ABOUT US
The Clothing Ministry provides free clothing to people who attend MBC, as well as those in the community.

Our vision is to meet practical life needs of those seeking assistance. The support provided includes clothing, shoes and household items as they are available. This support is given as a practical, outward expression of our personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Who may receive clothing?
Anyone who is in need of clothing may receive clothing. There are no economic qualifications. Sometimes just getting needed clothing can make a difference in the budget. People within McLean Bible Church’s family and the community are welcome to participate. We provide gently used men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and shoes. We also give away Bibles.

Are the clothes free?
All clothing is offered free of charge, although we do limit the distribution of clothing per person.

Clothing Shop Hours
Thursday Nights

  • 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
1st and 3rd Saturdays
  • 9:00 am – 11:30 am
Registration begins one hour before opening time.

Clothing Shop Process
Each adult, 16 years or older, may come one time per month and fill a bag (we provide) with free clothes of their choosing.

Registration begins at the lower level door of McLean Bible Church by the water fountain. Registration numbers are distributed and then registration will be done on the computer. Please bring a photo ID. A free key tag will be issued to each attendee. This must be brought back each month to receive clothing. If the key tag is lost, a $10 replacement fee is charged. Key tags are for one individual only and are required to receive clothing.

All attendees will attend a devotional given prior to receiving clothing.

Children under 12 are not permitted in the Shop. All children must be supervised by parents. There is limited childcare available.

Each recipient will be given a name tag and bag to fill with clothing. Shopping will take place in the Clothing Shop, room 1612. Our volunteer staff is there to help.

Please feel free to ask for assistance in finding items.

Note:
The Clothing Shop will not be open on November 22, 2012 (Thanksgiving) and December 27, 2012 (Christmas season). Please contact McLean Bible Church for inclement weather closings.
